Detail Shots ~ Rockledge Country Inn

Wednesday, January 14th, 2009

I recently had the opportunity to help Brooke and Dave plan their wedding at Rockledge Country Inn-a quaint bed and breakfast located in Manitou Springs, CO.   While we had a rather large rain issue on their wedding day (always have plan B), everything turned out great!  Here are a few detail shots I took before the guests arrived.  Sri with Seralina Custom Florals created the beautiful flower arrangements.

Aspen Invitations

Monday, January 12th, 2009

I was online this morning and came across these amazing aspen wedding invitations.  They were designed by Lilywillow Paper & Press out of Eaton, CO.  They were originally designed for a wedding in Jackson Hole, but they would work fabulously for a Colorado wedding too.

Cake Trends 2009

Sunday, January 11th, 2009

Here are a couple of trends in wedding cakes right now…

Slender cakes – they make a statement and are an architectural focal point at the wedding.

Cakes as centerpieces - they’re both beautiful and fun for the guests.  Have your baker make each cake a different flavor and/or design.  Guests will want to mingle and check out all the tables and, most likely, swap a bite with one of their friends!
