Sometimes I come across cakes that really make me stop and stare.  So, I thought I would start featuring these cakes once a month.  For this month, I came across an artistic trio of cakes designed by Jim Smeal out of Charleston, SC.   Check out his website for further inspiration.

Plum Sage Flowers in Denver created this parasol out of oncidium orchids.  Wouldn’t  your guests be wow’d if you walked down the aisle with one of these?  Truly spectacular!

I love these heart-shaped sugar cubes from Sur La Table.  They would be so cute hanging from the sides of  coffee cups at a wedding.  Plus, they’re currently on sale.  Get yours before they’re gone!

Sofia Coppola, daughter of film director and wine mogul, Francis Ford Coppola has followed in her father’s foot steps to create a champagne (sparkling wine) of her own.  Packaged in a pink straw inclusive can, the “Sofia Mini” bubbly looks like an energy drink, but tastes like champagne.
